With the Dojo under siege by the army of Sigil Slayers, the Mortagarians arrive and join forces with the Defenders to beat back Lady KTahsh and the Sigil slayers. But Rion has been overtaken by the Ethos inside him and has taken the fifth icon to Malco. Malco uses it to open a portal to the Dark Realm and consumes his Ethos brethren within becoming super powerful! The defenders battle Rion and purge him of the Ethos inside him. Confronting Malco the Defenders find themselves hopelessly outmatched. Can Rion fulfill his destiny and save the realm??!
