At the request of a television neighbor, Mister Rogers arrives with a model car and uses wooden blocks to build a roadway for it to travel. Prince Tuesday does not understand why he is not big like Neighbor Aber and King Friday.

Mister Rogers plants a seed and visits a conservatory. King Friday orders Handyman Negri to sing a song about not being afraid. This makes the neighbors even more anxious about the “big thing” that is to arrive in the neighborhood.
A Cat Named Jimmy
Mister Rogers brings in a cat named Jimmy and remembers him as a kitten. He shows pictures of babies that have grown into adults. Everyone gathers at the castle just as the big thing rolls into the Neighborhood of Make-Believe.
Growing a Plant from a Seed
Mister Rogers says that the bean plant he planted a few days ago has grown. Robert Troll is the only one who can communicate with the “big thing.” He learns that it wants a blanket; the blanket causes it to sprout a stem and leaves.

Mister Rogers plays games that require patience. Purple Panda experiments with a powder that causes flowers to grow. Prince Tuesday wishes the powder to make him grow. Mister Rogers goes to see the Harlem Spiritual Ensemble practice.
Plans for a New Play
Harriett Cow shares the plans for a play. Lady Aberlin is greeted by a ballet dancer who dances her around the Neighborhood. The dancer inspires Ana Platypus to be a ballerina in the school play.
